What is belt press?

A belt press is a type of dewatering equipment that uses a series of belts to efficiently remove water from sludge or other wet materials. The sludge enters the belt press and is poured onto a series of porous belts that provide a large surface area for the water to escape from. As the belts move through the press, pressure is applied to the sludge, forcing water to filter out through the belts, leaving the solids behind. The separated water exits the press, and the solids are then discharged to a collection bin. Belt presses are commonly used in wastewater treatment plants, chemical and food processing industries, and other applications where dewatering is necessary. They are often chosen over other dewatering methods due to their efficiency, low maintenance, and the ability to handle a wide range of materials.
